Song of the Day: “despondent” by La Lune

Vancouver shoegaze aficionados, La Lune, are back with another single today called “despondent”. It’s no surprise that the band continue to impress, with reverberating talk amongst the West Coast music scene that errs on excitement for what the band are up to next. The single is out now via Kingfisher Bluez, with the band sharing how “despondent”, “is about feeling behind in life. Watching as others excelt at what they’re doing, and menwhile, time keeps ticking and you’re still finding your footing. It’s a melancholic, fuzzed-out shoegaze/indie-rock tune, with a massive drum sound and a lush vocal delivery”.

Each track from La Lune presents a smoldering build; whether you are going for a late night drive with the windows down or looking for something heavier to immerse yourself in, La Lune leads with a 90’s sounding edge that we can’t get enough of. We look forward to more music from the band, which hopefully includes some west coast dates so we can watch them shred in person.
