Wormy, the moniker of New York singer-songwriter Noah Rauchwerk, is premiering his new single “Give Up” today, alongside the announcement of his upcoming LP Shark River, out January 16th via Rose Garden. The track, co-produced by Samia and Renny Conti, is accompanied by a Blair Witch Project-inspired video.
Shark River finds Rauchwerk embracing vulnerability with a collection of songs that explore loneliness, heartbreak, and the at times, hollow comfort of life on the road. His work as a touring drummer for artists such as Samia, Willow Avalon, and Renny Conti has offered him plenty of time for reflection.
“Sometimes all you can do is reckon with it,” says Rauchwerk. “Say okay, now I understand this about myself, and next time I approach this, it’s going to be in a positive way. Next time, I’ll get it right.”
Skillful production and backing vocals from his bandmates Conti and Samia add a florish to the record, with Rauchwerk’s vocals showing his fondness for emo-leaning folk luminaries like Bright Eyes and the Mountain Goats.
"Give Up" is out today via Rose Garden. Shark River releases January 16th, 2026.
