Emerging from Stockholm’s fetish scene, COBRAH has truly reminded us that this is her world, as we are just living in it with the release of “MANIC.”

I first heard of COBRAH back in 2022 during dance competition season. One of the teams at my dance studio had a vogue piece to both “WET” and “ICON.” The piece was beautiful, but the tracks truly captivated me. COBRAH and Vogue music was my gateway into the genre that is Femme EDM. Every time I was feeling down, or I felt unconfident with myself, listening to Femme EDM made me feel empowered.

“MANIC” is a track that feeds into everyone’s “confident, badass side of themselves.” A track that invites everyone to explore their sexuality, sensuality, and everything in between that gives someone pleasure. The lyrics just scream sexy and badass: “I’m not dramatic, I just get a little manic / One, two, three and here comes panic,” and “Let it out holy godspeed / I’m so nice if it wasn’t for my kink.” COBRAH’s lyricism never misses, and they are always on par with her individual energy and aesthetic; sultry, kinky, and confident.

And don’t even get me started on the music video, as it truly feeds into sexy energy within the song.

Inviting us into her latex BDSM world, COBRAH is adorned head-to-toe with latex suits, unbelievably tall pleasers, and fishnets all around. If it falls into the BDSM category, I can assure you that it will fit into COBRAH’s world. An homage to the Stockholm fetish scene, there are fast cuts and strobe lights within the music video that truly just add to the sexual energy that is “MANIC.” You truly cannot keep your eyes off of COBRAH during “MANIC”, something about her energy and presence makes you continuously not want to look away. It’s intimate, it’s truly a “domination” moment. COBRAH truly is the essence of badassery, and sometimes I feel like I have an alter-ego that is heavily influenced by her energy. COBRAH will truly have a chokehold on me, and I am not even into being choked. And if I can take something away from COBRAH, it’s that I’m not dramatic, I just get a little manic.
