Minty Fresh: New Cassette Supports BAM! Camp Calgary

Mint Records is releasing a new cassette today in support of BAM! Camp Calgary (formerly known as Girls Rock Camp Calgary), featuring a few of REVERIE’s favourite Mint bands including Ribbon Skirt, knitting and Kimmortal.

BAM! (Building Allied Music) Camp Calgary invites all girls and non-binary youth between the ages of 12 and 17, of all backgrounds and abilities, to engage with each other through musical education and performance, in a positive environment.

“The latest cassette is a refreshing, lo-fi nod to the artists who showered us with the sounds of something new over the last few years,” said the team at Mint Records. “FRESH MINT features some favourites from our roster on compact tape to support the early days and future sounds of a greener generation.”

The compilation includes one single off of every album Mint Records has put out since 2021, and it features one Rebel Grrrlz song, as a lovely nod to the proceeds from the sales going towards BAM! Camp Calgary.

Grab your copy here, find your new favourite song, and support an incredible local nonprofit creating more space for girls and gender-expansive youth in Calgary’s music community.
